Mads Hededal Oldenskov

Mads Hededal Oldenskov, born in 2003, Copenhagen, Denmark, began his musical journey at the Frederiksberg Music Institute (2014-2019), where he developed his fundamental understanding of music.

Mads pursued his passion for music by enrolling at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where he recently completed his Bachelor's degree in music from 2021 to 2024. His musical journey has been influenced by, among others,  John Coltrane, Paul Bley, Herbie Hancock, Ravel, Henri Dutilleux, all of whom have contributed to shaping his artistic expression. As part of his musical journey, Mads has also had the honor of performing with acclaimed musicians such as Peter Bernstein, Anders Mogensen, Niels Lan Doky, Mike Murley, Tim Hagans and many more.

Recognizing his talent and contributions, Mads received the “special prize” at the Jarek Smietana Contest in 2021 and "Jazz Talent of the Year" award in 2023 at the Royal academy of music at the Odense Jazz Festival.
